Frank Kiefer (Club Coach) (KieferF@stcva.org)
Frank Kiefer has an extensive background as a winning wrestling coach in the Southeastern
United States. Coach Kiefer’s wrestling teams have won a total of 10 State Championships in
the states of Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia. 7 of these 10 State Titles came in
public school State Tournaments. Additionally, Coach Kiefer’s teams have won over 400 dual
meets and his wrestlers have won nearly 70 individual State Titles. He has also coached 28
National Prep All Americans during his career. As a result of these accomplishments, Coach
Kiefer has been awarded 10 State Coach of the Year awards and has been nominated numerous
times for the prestigious National Coach of the Year award.
Most recently, Coach Kiefer’s St. Christopher’s team won the Virginia Independent Schools
State Title in 2008 and produced a Prep-All American. As recognition for his success in
the 1990’s, Coach Kiefer was just recently inducted into The Westminster School’s Athletic
Hall of Fame in March of 2008.

Andy Stone (Club Coach)
Andy Stone began his coaching career in 1985 as an assistant for the University of Tennessee.
This same year the Volunteers finished 7th in the NCAA’s and produced a National Champion.
Coach Stone also held assistant coaching positions for Syracuse, Lock Haven, and Old Dominion
between 1986-1990. During this same time period, Coach Stone competed for both the Sunkist
Kids Wrestling Club and The New York Athletic Club. In the early 1990’s Stone moved to Poquoson
High School where as head coach, he led the Islanders to a second place finish in the Virginia
AA state tournament. In 1996, Coach Stone moved South to start a program from scratch at
Brookwood High School in Alabama. In 2000 his Brookwood team won a class 5A State Title. Coach
Stone then moved to Richmond to work for the Collegiate School and he currently wrapped up his
5th season as the head varsity wrestling coach for the Collegiate School.
Additionally, Coach Stone has spent the past 30 years as a coach and clinician for both the
Granby School of Wrestling and The Granby System Wrestling Camps by Keith Lowrance. This
Summer will be Coach Stone’s 15th year at The Granby System Wrestling Camps which are organized
by former Kempsville coach Keith Lowrance.
